CSUMB and NASA Ames Research Center conduct collaborative research in ecological and watershed systems with an emphasis on local, regional, and global environmental problems and issues resulting from changing climatic and land-use patterns. Prospective graduate students in the Coastal and Watershed Science & Policy MS degree program can, if appropriately qualified, team up with collaborators at NASA Ames for exciting masters theses. Our collaborative research highlights the particular technological tools and methods in which NASA specializes including remote sensing, image processing, geographical information systems, computer simulation and analyses, data acquisition and visualization, and high bandwidth telecommunications.
